Spring Break Part 2

Well, after 4 plane rides and hundreds of miles of driving, we finally made it home today.  We were greeted with a nice series of hail storms as we made our way south on I-5 today.  It was an awesome trip and we got to see everyone we wanted to see.  Thanks to everyone that made an effort to see us, put us up, feed us, take Rohm off our hands, or performed any other act of generosity during this trip.  The new pictures are up here.

Michigan was a blast.  We got to see Liza’s place in Ann Arbor, eat at Zingerman’s and take a drive around campus.  Then our two days in Sturgis were really relaxing, and the perfect mid-point in our trip.  The drive to Chicago was snow free, and we got in late Wednesday night.  We ditched Rohm with Gommy on Thursday afternoon and spent some time baby-free, then imbibed with a bunch of friends that night on the North side.  Friday we hit up Gommy’s restaurant and market and left for Woodridge in the evening.  We had a good old Sprovier reunion that night.  Saturday it was all about bowling.  Nick was the unofficial party champ – but I think Uncle Bart, Anthony, and some others had some decent scores.   Anyways, we ditched Rohm off on Auntie Dani for a few hours, and then checked out the Grant’s new house.  Finally wrapped things up with another Sprovier gathering in Naperville last night, and then grabbed a few hours of sleep before getting up at 4am to get to O’hare.
I am going to look into a way to allow others to upload pictures to the album, and I’m going to put up some instructions on how to get and save the master files for any pictures people want to print – some people were asking me how to do that.  But for now, I’m going to bed.  Much love from Rohm, Gina, and Adam.

Rohm Spring Tour

Writing this on the second flight of our multi-city spring tour with Rohm.  We’ve spent the last 3 days in NYC visiting Aunt Jo and Uncle Tony.  We didn’t do a whole lot, seeing as Rohm was out of sorts and needed to catch up on sleep a bit.  But we did manage to hook up with the Stropes and have an insane meal at Jo’s restaurant.  It was more like a one-hour eating contest than a relaxing meal, but it was definitely some awesome food.  It was our first foray into the Momofuku empire, so it was nice to see what Jo’s been up to for the last couple years.  We had a great Easter dinner with Tony’s family, and got to dress Rohm up in an cute dress.  Now we’re off to Michigan to visit Aunt Liza in Ann Arbor, and then the Grandparents in Sturgis.  It’s about 2 days here, and then we drive to Chicago to wrap up this journey.
Putting up some pictures from the trip so far, as well as some stuff from before the trip.  They include Rohm in various outfits, some pics from the Lucky Lab when Tony paid us a quick visit in February, and a picture of a couple of wild turkeys that wandered across our yard the other morning.

In Like a Lamb, Out with Some Bowling

Hey everyone!  Hope you’re all digging the new look of the site.  I put up a new video of Rohm to celebrate the transition.

We’re having a little gathering on Saturday March 29th when we’re back in Chicago.  It’s a bowling party/gathering at Southport Lanes from about 1-3pm.  We sent invites to everyone we assumed would want to come; I didn’t want to pressure anyone by throwing them on the Evite.  But if you’re in the area and you feel like coming, you’re more than welcome!  Just send me an email and I’ll add you to the list.
