Wares in Eugene?

Well, I knew that the Wares might not be in PDX forever when I bought this domain back in the spring; but it looks like I may have set our fate. After weeks of consideration, its official, we’re moving to Eugene. Here’s the gist of it: I’m taking a position as Online Marketing Director at an online (mostly online) surf/skate/snowboard store based in Eugene. I’ll be traveling down for work starting in July, and we’ll make the move sometime in mid-July. We’ll be renting the PDX house out, and renting in Eugene until we’re ready to buy.
Our daughter will be born in Eugene. We’re not going to name here Sunshine, or Kaya or anything like that though, but we probably will get her a tie-dye jumper and a Ducks jumper. She should be born right around when UO plays Washington State for Homecoming weekend. Any of you UO grads that want to come visit, book your flights and hotels now.
In all seriousness, this has been a really tough decision, and we’re really sad about leaving Portland. But we’re looking forward to writing a chapter in Eugene and living somewhere different for awhile. We’ll keep you posted on the move.
In other news; I felt the baby kick through Gina’s stomach a couple times last week. Pretty sure we have a star soccer player on our hands.
Belated Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Thanks to everyone who sent me the Father’s Day wishes; I’m looking forward to my first official one next year.

Memorial Day Finale

The remaining pictures from our trip east are up now. It was a great vacation and it’s tough to be back! The party Dad and Jean threw for us was great. We got to meet about 100 of their friends, eat well and drink a bunch. Then we ate enough cake to put us all on diets for the entire month of June. The rest of the weekend was spent boating, swimming, eating, drinking, and hanging out. A nice lazy vacation. We ended up coming into Chicago on Monday night late and staying at Mere’s place. That gave us a chance to hang out with Dani and Nick a bit, and meant we didn’t have to travel all day on Tuesday. Flight back was fine. We landed at 5:30pm and I was sitting in class at 6:00pm, and I stopped at home to change shoes and drop off Gina! So, the rest of the pictures are up here.
